Books are, without a doubt, my favorite thing to gift to friends and family. A reader recently emailed me asking for design book suggestions to give as a gift, which inspired me to compile my favorite books to give to those I love. 1. Kate Spade New York-Things We Love. Full of gorgeous illustrations and endless inspiration, this book is perfect for those ultra-stylish people in your life!
2. Cupcakes and Cashmere. Best for those not already familiar with Emily’s blog by the same name (some of the content is repeated), this book is perfect for younger women just starting to figure out their personal style and tastes. Lovely photography and a great price point!
3. The Perfectly Imperfect Home. This is, by far, one of my very favorite books. The watercolor illustrations are gorgeous, and the tone of the book is fun, insightful yet easy to read.
4. Paper to Petal. This book was gifted to me by a good friend for Christmas, and I immediately bought a copy to gift myself! This book is pure eye candy; the styling and details are absolutely exquisite!
5. A Million Little Ways. Whether or not you are familiar with Emily’s blog, this book is a must-read for Emily’s gentle, encouraging way with words. She’ll lead you to find the artist within and will change the way you see your everyday life. Truly one of my favorite books that I’ve gifted again and again.
6. Well-Read Women. I purchased this book for my sister-in-law for Christmas, and soon after receiving it purchased one for myself as well. This wonderfully illustrated book combines classic quotes from literature with beautiful watercolor illustrations. A great gift for both the artist and book lover.
7. Birds and Blooms of the 50 States. This book, though small in size, is a beautifully illustrated resource for the bird and flower lover in your life. The authors are owners of the popular Etsy shop, Dutch Door Press, and share their illustrations and facts about each state in this lovely volume.
