easy holiday wreath, part 2

I told you I love wreaths. This yarn wreath, in particular, was a lot of fun to make…
The trick to making the seemingly unending task of winding yarn around the wreath form a bit easier is to wrap with a double strand of yarn, not a single. Anyone else surprised I was about halfway through my wreath before I figured this out? Oh well. The pleated embellishment is just that–two pieces of fabric given a quick pleat through the sewing machine. So easy.
I played around with other embellishments…berries, ribbon, fabric, etc…but after all was said and done, simple won out.
I love how this turned out…this may be my first, but definitely won’t be my last yarn wreath.
