Hey All! I have a special guest post for you guys today…Susi, from Design Shuffle, was inspired by my Etsy post sharing rainbow-hued items and wanted to put together a compilation of her favorite rainbow-inspired rooms.
Take it away, Susi! 🙂
Hi everyone, I’m Susi and I write as a guest blogger for Design Shuffle, a fabulous social media site that promotes interior designers and their work from around the world. My writing focuses on things I’m passionate about: interior design, decorating ideas, home furnishings, gardening, travel and art. I get to look at gorgeous things all day and write about them. I’m a very lucky girl!
Thanks to Linda for inviting me and Design Shuffle to guest blog today! I loved the recent posts on rainbows from Etsy and Pinterest and was inspired to find rooms that had a rainbow of colors. I found some clever DIY ideas to add rainbows of color to any room as well as rooms that showed rainbows can be sophisticated too. I hope you enjoy! ~ Susi
This room has six great ways to add a rainbow of color to a space: a colorful vintage schoolroom map, framed fabric swatches, a vintage rainbow afghan, painted furniture, colorful lamp base; and vibrant, colorful lampshades. Any one of these would liven up a room with rainbows of color.
Pastel painted bentwood chairs makes this cream dining room cheerful. Other colorful accessories add to the bright and cheery feeling.
Looking for country kitchen design ideas? This colorful farmhouse kitchen has aqua cabinets and a rainbow of accessories. Love the many colored tea cups hanging from the shelf.
Colorfully painted frames add a rainbow of color to this all white room. Pastel pillows in warm and cool hues also are a great way to bring in more color.
This is in a little girl’s room (the tulle gave it away) but I think this wall treatment would look gorgeous at the end of a hall or along a bedroom wall. Beautiful ombre colors.
Love this group of rainbow Liberty fabric swatches framed in embroidery hoops to create a rainbow of color and pattern on a wall. Lovely in an entry, bedroom or home office.
This is not a new idea, but I still adore it… organizing books by color to create a bookcase rainbow. Such an easy way to add color to a room.
A rainbow of color doesn’t have to mean bold, primary and secondary colors. A mix of pastels and bolder color, with lots of white, creates a sophisticated feeling in living room designs.
