home inspiration {cozy family rooms and bedrooms}

I’m not exactly sure what makes a room “cozy.” I tend to think lots of pillows, comfy slipcovers and inviting bedding all help. But I also think there’s a less tangible quality that gives a room the cozy feel that we are all looking for this time of year-maybe it’s in how a room’s arranged, having multiple textures and finishes, or a neutral color palette? Not quite sure, but I know it when I see it. So, in honor of cozy rooms, I’ve gathered some of my favorites…

So now I’m asking you…what makes a room “cozy”, in your opinion?

I love the photo of the family room with the blue accents & fireplace....looks so inviting. To me, cozy means quilts, throw pillows and nothing so "fussy" that it makes one afraid to move! Even in my living room, I have throw quilts & lots of pillows. There is nothing in here that my pets or my grandkids can hurt! I only wish I had a fireplace~~~*sigh*.

There's something so classic, cozy, and chic about white. I'm really loving it, and I can't wait to own a house so that I can make it look fabulous like these!!

Thanks for sharing! xo

Yes! I agree--we have lots of white in our home (including a white slipcover), and we love it all-even with a 3 year old running around! xoxo
