copper trend burlap and blue

Following up on my post last week on mixing metallics, I thought I’d share another metallic-inspired trend that was big in 2013, and promises to continue to be big in 2014…copper! Now, to be honest, copper just isn’t my thing…it’s a bit pink-y for my taste, but, a trend’s a trend and I imagine I’ll embrace it a bit more as the year progresses and more bloggers/stylists use it in their spaces. And, really, if Kitchen Aid can embrace it, well, maybe I can too…

So? I’d love to hear your thoughts on this trend. Love it or leave it?

I love metallic colours, but in moderation as an "accent" to other colour themes :)

I'm really in a conundrum over this one. I love copper pieces; teapots, pots and pans, small decor accents, but I feel like I don't like it in large areas. The large light fixtures, bed and chairs really seem to jump out when done in copper. Even the copper seems to take on a tone I don't care for. I think it's peculiar that I really like copper in some things, but do not care for it at all in others. I guess I'd have to say I'm 50/50 on copper...I guess that's better that being 0. :)
