easy advent calendar

For this year’s advent calendar, I wanted it to be simple (not unusual for me), but also something that used supplies I already had on hand…

Some glassine bags, washi tape, and stamps was all it took! I’ll fill the bags with small candies for each day (because no matter what I fill them with, the candy is always the favorite part), and a few puzzle pieces for a fun activity.

I know a lot of people put an activity to do in each bag, and, while I’ve done that in the past, I wanted something a bit easier this year. I purchased this puzzle from Amazon (100 pieces seems like a good number), put it together, and chose 3 or 4 interlocking pieces to go in each bag. Each day, we’ll fit the pieces together, and, by the end of Advent, will have a completed puzzle!

Oh, what a cute idea. If I hadn't already got an advent calendar this year, I would definitely do this.

This is such a great advent calendar! I am making one for my husband that is different Bible verses everyday! I thought that way we could get into the real reason for the season!

Wow, that is a very cute and creative idea. You are right, no matter what you fill them with...candy is the favorite!
