Heading into the holiday season, I have many goals for my home. I want it to be festive and filled with the sights, sounds, and smells of the holidays, but, more importantly, I want it to be clean, comfortable and welcoming. This is especially true this holiday season, as we have the pleasure of hosting several overnight guests between now and New Years.

Because of this, I wanted to update our guest bathroom to make it as inviting as possible. I purchased some new decor items, printed out some coastal-inspired art prints, and painted the walls a soft gray color.

All of the updates took less than a weekend to pull together, and, once I was through, I made a stop at Walmart to pick up a few cleaning essentials- Windex® Original Glass Cleaner, Scrubbing Bubbles® Toilet Cleaning Gel & Disinfectant Scrubbing Bubbles® Bathroom Cleaner. Because let’s be honest: a bathroom can be beautifully decorated and put-together, but if it’s not clean, all the color coordinated accessories in the world won’t make people want to spend time in it.

After giving our guest bathroom a good cleaning, I wanted to add a crafty touch to the plain white frames I used for the wall art above the towel bar.

I chose some washi tape in colors that coordinated to our bathroom, and simply added a length to all four sides of the frame…

It took less than 10 minutes from beginning to end, and added some color and fun to otherwise plain jane picture frames.

After spending the time cleaning and prepping our guest bathroom, I can honestly say that the effect is inviting, warm, and, above all, clean! I’m so excited to host our friends and family over the next couple of months, and I know that they’ll appreciate the time that went into making their space so welcoming.

As you prepare for your own holiday guests, make sure to stop by Walmart for a great selection of Windex® and Scrubbing Bubbles® products.

I’d love to know…how do YOU prep your home for guests over the holidays? What tips and tricks do you use to create a warm and welcoming space?

That is such a clever and easy way to update a frame! I always clean the bathroom before guests arrive, too. They won’t always notice if it’s clean, but they definitely notice if it’s not! 😉

Such a beautiful and stylish bathroom! I love the wall art and the frames look wonderful! I also need to refresh the bathrooms in the house soon. We are expecting guests for the holidays and I want to have the house sparkle! I need to pay special attention when cleaning the bathrooms and guest room. It is definitely a good idea to use Scrubbing Bubbles bathroom cleaning products! They are really efficient! Thanks for sharing!
