I definitely do! Construction paper is inexpensive and so so veratile!
From gifts to home decor to cards and everything in between, construction paper is one of my favorite crafting mediums, and it’s the perfect starting point for easy kids crafts.
So today, I’m going to share over 25 amazing construction paper crafts.
But first, let’s talk about construction paper…
Best Construction Paper
There are so, so many options for construction paper on the market.
My pick is this inexpensive set of Crayola construction paper.
It boasts 240 sheets in 12 vibrant colors (Red, Pink, Yellow, Orange, Green, Blue, Light Blue, Light Green, Purple, Brown, White, and Black).
It’s thin, but doesn’t tear as easily as cheaper paper tends to.
Difference Between Cardstock and Construction Paper
Cardstock and construction paper are two very different products used for different applications.
Cardstock is, overall, sturdier than construction paper.
It retains it’s color over time better than construction paper, too (though, of course, it will eventually fade if exposed to light).
In short, if I’m doing a project requiring lots of folding and manipulation of the paper, my choice is construction paper.
If I’d doing a project where I want a stiffer, sturdier end result, I’ll turn to cardstock.
