As readers of this blog know, I love a good holiday-themed tutorial. With Easter right around the corner, using Mars & Wrigley products to inspire a DIY Easter basket and delicious Jellybean Candy Bark is the perfect way to usher in spring.

My first project, these darling Easter baskets created out of clay pots, were inspired by some of our favorite sweet treats: Easter M&M’s White Strawberry Shortcake 8oz (available exclusively at Target for a limited time), and Easter DOVE Peanut Butter Eggs.

In addition to clay pots (which you can easily find at any craft store), you’ll need various embellishments, such as glitter, tags, letter stickers, Mod Podge, and these adorable felt bunnies:

First, I painted my clay pots. I used craft paint, but you could also spray paint them. I chose white, but any fun, spring-inspired color would work. I then used glitter and Mod Podge to add a bit of sparkle and color to the rim of each flowerpot.

I added my embellishments, used scrapbook paper to line the insides, and filled  them with some favorite Easter candies…

I am thrilled with how these clay pot Easter baskets turned out! Once Easter is over, we can easily use them for a spring planting project, or even to corral art supplies in my children’s rooms.

Next, I wanted to create something yummy and colorful, both for inside the Easter baskets, and to package up and hand out to teachers and friends as a small Easter gift.

All you need to make this Jellybean Bark is Starburst Sweet & Sour Jellybeans and/or regular Starburst Jellybeans, white candy melts, and food coloring (if desired).

Following package instructions on your candy melts, melt your candy, and then add 2-3 drops of food coloring per bowl. Stir well.

Drop spoonfuls of your colored candy melts onto a cookie sheet lined with parchment paper. Using a knife or toothpick, swirl your colors together until you have the desired look. Add your Jellybeans, and refrigerate for 15-20 minutes, or until hard.
