One of the very best sellers in my Etsy shop is my custom kids’ matching game, and for good reason! They make the perfect birthday gift, and are also popular as stocking stuffers or Valentine’s Day gifts.

About four years ago, I shared a quick tutorial on how to create one yourself, and, today, I wanted to share an updated how-to to address some of the questions readers send me.

The materials are simple. You’ll need:

Step 1: First, decide on the size of your tiles. My husband cuts our tiles himself, but, if this isn’t an option for you, or you want to save a bit of time, you can find pre-cut tiles on Amazon.

Cut your scrapbook paper to fit your tiles, and use your Mod Podge Matte to adhere paper to tiles. Repeat for each tile.

Step 2: Now it’s time to resize your images. I use Photoshop Elements, but any photo editing software will work.

First, resize your images to fit your tiles (I resize mine to 1.4″ x 1.9″, slightly smaller than my tiles, with a resolution of 300). Then, open a new document (sized to your photo paper) to place your resized photos on.

Step 3:Place your resized photos onto your new file, and print out. I use 4×6 photo paper for mine.

Step 4: Cut out your pictures, and mod podge them onto the other side of your tiles.

Step 5: Add a coat of Mod Podge Hard Coat to both sides of your tiles. Let dry.
