holiday decor in my home

Happy Wednesday-before-Christmas! Eek! Hope ya’ll are enjoying the week despite your lists of things to-do, to-make, and to-bake!

I was honored to have had the chance earlier this week to guest post on one of my very favorite blogs-A Blissful Nest. Rebekah asked me to post about some of the holiday decor in my home, and I was more than happy to oblige. In case you didn’t see it linked up on my facebook page, I wanted to share the post with you all here…

I was lucky to receive this metal, clippy-thing from my sister-in-law, and I just love how these vintage ornaments look hanging from it. I adore versatile home decor pieces, and this definitely fits the bill.

I talked about this simple felt wreath recently in this post. In short, it’s fun to make, easy to put together, and gives you a lot of bang for your decorating dollar-it looks bold and fresh against my black front door, but would look equally great hanging from a mirror, frame, or even leaning against wall. Love.

A few years ago, I made these mini chair swags out of faux pine, paper mache bells I found at HomeGoods, and some glitter leaves. Three years later, they still look great and add a festive touch to our dining room chairs. Added bonus? I got to justify (at least to myself), my mild obsession with ribbon collecting. I bought this red gingham ribbon having no idea what I’d use it for, and it suits these swags perfectly.

Random berry garland (this thing has been used everywhere over the years) and milk glass make for a simple, yet impactful, bookcase display. The white, green, and red are a classic color combo, but somehow manage to look fresh.

Thank you to Rebekah for inviting me to guest post here today, and thanks to all of YOU for letting me spend a few minutes sharing my home with you.

Have a MERRY Christmas!

xoxo

I love the milk glass....it's one of my favorite things to collect. The berry garland with the white of the glass is beautifully simple. Love it.
